Vegetarian food is delicious

Are you feeling happy or sad right now?? I would prefer EVERYONE to be happy. 🙂 How are you?

In one of those interesting changes of heart, I became a vegetarian all of a sudden! To be sure, I have been considering this for a while. Especially since I started eating at Friends of the Earth in Collingwood! They make a seasonal lunch plate every day. Have you ever eaten anything so delicious? It really is something else.

This made me want to find vegetarian recipes. I want to cook like them! But it is too hard, and I am not sure where to start. Sometime in the past couple of weeks, I just kind of bit the bullet and stopped buying meat. Instead, I buy things that are ‘like’ meat, but not meat. Tonight, I ate the most delicious beetroot and black bean burgers. It was so nice with three helpings of delectable salads from Alimentari (also in Collingwood). So, so, good.

And to be honest, I can’t tell the difference energetically. People talk about being a vegetarian and how your energy levels plummet, or how you get sick. That may have been the case in the past, but I do feel like we could possibly get our shit together to nourish ourselves while being compassionate and saving the planet!

Who cooks like that? I want to know how to cook like that!? It is like they have secret powers, bringing it all together in one beautiful dish. So amazing.

The chef who works there today is such a happy person. She is always smiling.
